Job Summary

Responsibilities:

Review project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work
Perform material takeoffs for structural and miscellaneous steel projects
Develop cost estimates based on material and labor costs
Review subcontractor and material quotes and incorporate into the estimate
Work closely with project team to ensure accurate and competitive bids
Prepare and submit proposals to clients
Attend project meetings as required

Requirements:

5 years of experience as a Structural Steel Estimator
Experience with estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret project specifications and drawings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures
