Summary: Prepares and cooks meals for staff residents and hospital patients of institutions by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following other duties may be assigned.

Cooks food in quantities according to recipes and the number of people to be served.
Properly follows recipes and cooks food to proper temperatures
Properly operates equipment with care and communicates with co-workers manager and maintenance crew when machinery is not working properly.
Properly segregates and removes trash by placing it in appropriate containers.
Maintains all infection control procedures ensuring all dietary processes are compliant with infection control regulations.
Makes certain all duties are completed and the kitchen is clean before leaving shift.
Washes dishes pots and pans before putting them through the dishwasher.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas carefully to avoid breaks and spills.
Maintains a clean kitchen throughout the workday.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
