Position Role | Staff Officer within the IWC Joint Force Training Team |

Responsibilities (Maximum 150 characters (including spaces) each.) |
- Lead the Planning of Tier 3 (Operational) and Tier 4 (Strategic) collective training events iaw the TRAs requirement.

- Lead on implementing the required exercise governance through the running of SGs and planning conferences.
| |
- Co-ordinate the production of all exercise governance & scenario documentation i.e. EXPLAN MEL/MIL OSW.

- Liaise with TRA OGDs NGOs MOD single service HQs allies and coalition partners to ensure exercise requirements are met.
| |
- Act as a Tier 3 and Tier 4 exercise planning team member leading on J1 J4 J8 J9.
| |
- Fill a variety of posts within the Exercise Control (EXCON) Cell during the Execute Phase of a Tier 3 or Tier 4 exercise.

- Identify and capture of JFT Exercise lessons and thus contribute to the QIP and enhanced JFT SOPs/SOIs.

Must be able to deploy on Collective Training Exercises around the world for up to 40 days a year. Planning conferences will require additional overseas travel. | |

This appointment requires an officer with sound understanding of Joint and Combined operations at the operational and strategic levels. A previous appointment in an operational level HQ or the Joint/Exercise Planning environment would be a significant advantage. The role requires a self-starter who is able to work with limited supervision and deliver the desired outcomes on no-fail tasks. The need to give frequent briefings to high-ranking officers and to have contact with international officers demands a high grade staff officer who can communicate effectively. | |
