Join Me & My Mind our Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) and become part of an ambitious supportive service improving mental health and wellbeing in schools across East Sussex. This is a unique opportunity to train as an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) combining hands-on experience with fully funded postgraduate-level training delivered by the University of Sussex.
As a trainee EMHP you will learn under supportive supervision how to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties within education settings.
You will:
This role combines practical experience (34 days per week) with postgraduate study (1 day per week). Youll be fully supported through supervision practice tutoring and structured development opportunities. This role includes fully funded nationally recognised postgraduate-leveltraining with the University of Sussex supporting you to develop specialist skills in evidence-based interventions for children and young people. Training time is protected and youll receive both academic and practice-based supervision.
What were looking for:
A Level 6 qualification (e.g. degree-level or equivalent).
Ability to build trusting respectful relationships with children young people and families.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers school leaders families and multi-agency partners.
Ability to participate in postgraduate study and work effectively under supervision.
