Position Overview:

One of the most sought after andhighly reputable financial services group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced CA(SA) with at least 8- 10 years solid experience in managing strategic projects OR CAPEX projects. Limited procurement / supply chain experience required.
This position asManager Strategic Sourcing is at a Senior Management level within the group structure and will form part of thegroups Financial Services Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
The main purpose of this position is to provide managerial leadership and direction in the execution of the end-to-end strategic sourcing activities of the group including strategic planning and sourcing supplier development commercial contract negotiation and supply chain management in a quality economical value-adding and transparent manner.
Key Performance Areas:
- Develop and manage the implementation of the strategic sourcing strategy.
- Ensure governance and compliance with the procurement policies and guidelines of the group.
- Develop sectional operational plans.
- Drive the implementation of the sourcing and category management strategies.
- Provide strategic guidance to category leads on selected sourcing mechanisms.
- Calculate and analyse the costs of procurement and suggest methods to synergise supply opportunities.
- Research and identify reliable and trustworthy suppliers and strategise and negotiate with them.
- Manage the stakeholders within the supply chain.
- Manage and oversee the identification of opportunities for strategic sourcing within the Group.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum requirements to be considered for this position one must have:
- Registered as a Chartered Accountant of South Africa CA(SA) required.
- Registration with Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) / MCIPS added advantage.
- A minimum of 810 years of experience in a Strategic Project / CAPEX ProjectEnvironment of which at least 23 years should have been in a Management Capacity.
