We are seeking an experienced APPS Database Administrator (DBA) with strong JD Edwards (JDE) experience to support and maintain enterprise application databases. This role is based in Pretoria with a hybrid model offering mainly remote work.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Administer maintain and support application databases (with a focus on JDE environments)
Ensure database availability performance security and integrity
Perform database monitoring tuning backups and recovery
Support application upgrades patches and system enhancements
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions
Work closely with application infrastructure and support teams
Maintain technical documentation and follow best practices

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as an APPS DBA
Strong hands-on experience with JD Edwards (JDE)
Experience supporting databases in enterprise environments
Solid understanding of database performance tuning backup and recovery
Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setup
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
