The position serves as a primary Emergency Medical Services educator utilizing best practice curriculum and techniques including simulation if available to ensure and maintain competency and credentialing of various clinical position as defined by each markets which may include EMTs AEMTs Paramedics and Ambulette Drivers etc. Liaison with other interfacility and 911 response agencies assisting with education opportunities and credentialing as requested.
Essential Job Functions
Operates cleans and maintains all training equipment and supplies.
Develops educational material and clinical scenarios.
Schedules coordinates and travels to all Emergency Medical Services Division training events.
Conducts training at hospitals and on-site at Emergency Medical Services agencies as needed.
Completes simulator-specific training when appropriate or requested. Stays up to date and educated on functions of the simulator in order to provide thorough training.

Licensing/Certification
Current paramedic-level certification OR RN License in state of practice (required)
Critical Care Paramedic Certification (preferred)
Advanced EMT (preferred)
Basic EMT (preferred)
Emergency Medical Services Instructor (required or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Basic Life Support (required or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Education
High School Diploma or General Educational Development (required)
Work Experience
5 years experience as a Paramedic Advanced EMT or Basic EMT or RN in prehospital or interfacility transport setting
