Front / Back Office Specialist

Position Summary
The Front / Back Office Specialist supports clinic operations by providing exceptional patient service at checkâin and checkâout managing scheduling and administrative duties and assisting with basic clinical support tasks as trained. This position plays a key role in maintaining patient flow and operational efficiency in a busy outpatient clinic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Front Office
- Greet and check in patients
- Collect coâpays and verify demographic and insurance information
- Schedule appointments and procedures using NextGen
- Prepare daily deposits and endâofâday batch reports
- Answer and route phone calls professionally
- Confirm appointments and assist with patient checkout
Back Office (Training Provided)
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Assist clinical staff and providers as needed
- Maintain organized and clean clinical areas
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer proficiency and professional email communication
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a clinical setting
Preferred
- 12 years healthcare office experience
- Experience with EMR systems (Athena preferred)
- Medical terminology knowledge
Schedule & Work Environment
- Fullâtime MondayFriday
- Standard clinic hours: 8:005:00 or 7:304:30
- Outpatient medical office setting
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit stand and walk throughout the workday
- Manual dexterity for administrative and clinical tasks
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
