Job Summary
Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Location: Rochester NY
Assignment Type: Travel / Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Mid Shift
Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts
Shift Hours: 3:00 PM 3:00 AM
Total Hours: 36 hours per week
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join a fast-paced emergency department at a large acute care hospital. The ER RN will provide rapid assessment triage and treatment to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
Perform rapid triage and comprehensive patient assessments
Provide emergency nursing care for medical surgical and trauma patients
Administer medications IV fluids blood products and emergency treatments
Monitor cardiac rhythms vital signs and patient response to interventions
Assist with emergency procedures resuscitations and trauma activations
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
Communicate effectively with physicians advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain compliance with emergency department protocols infection control and safety standards
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York or compact where applicable)
Minimum 12 years of recent Emergency Room experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
PALS and TNCC preferred
Strong critical thinking multitasking and communication skills
