As an Advanced Practice Provider youll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality cost-effective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to:
Provide advanced inpatient cardiac care for cardiac surgery patients
- Preop orders and postoperative transplant care
- Participation in Heart Failure/Shock team protocols
- Participation in multidisciplinary rounds review for appropriate billing
- Clinical Management of Advanced Therapies- Impella ECMO LVAD
- Complex wound management chest tubes pacing wires sternal closure monitoring
Outpatient participation for patient work-up and continuity of care
- Preoperative evaluation- VAD and transplant candidacy
- Participate in transplant selection conference
- Coordinate care from inpatient to outpatient transplant clinic
Education:
- If Nurse Practitioner: Masters or Doctorates degree from accredited Nursing Program.
- If Physician Assistant: Bachelors or Masters degree from accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum
If Nurse Practitioner*:
- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses including prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice AND
- Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult/Gero Acute Care
If Physician Assistant*:
- Active PA license including prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice AND
- Active PA board certification
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
