Job Summary

Job Summary:

DT Professional Services is looking for a Logistician Ito support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona at our Norco CA location.This role will analyze and oversee the organizations supply chain and the life cycle of assigned products from acquisition through distribution delivery and when necessary discontinuation. Responsible for overseeing the life cycle of a product including purchase distribution internal allotment release and final clearance of resources. Will help streamline operations and identify the most efficient way to use the departments resources to achieve its goals.

Responsibilities:

Communicates with customers and/or support staff to understand customers needs and to ensure those needs are met.
Coordinates availability and allocation of materials supplies and finished products.
Creates and/or deploys project management tools and systems; implements plans schedules and compliance metrics.
Collects or oversees the collection of product and project performance data; analyzes data for further product development and improvement.
Verify goods reach their destination in a timely manner.
Develop forecasting plan t maintain sufficient inventory.
Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules.
Identifies opportunities to reduce costs production time and other areas lacking efficiency; recommends improvements.
Prepares reports and presents project plans progress and results.
Collaborate with IT and Engineering professionals to implement effective systems.
Performs other related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

Active Secret clearance.
2 years of related experience.
Extensive knowledge of acquisitions and distribution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite relational databases and ERP systems.
Familiarity with supply chain processes to include but not limited to inventory and warehouse management.
Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Management Supply Chain or related field.

The compensation for this role: $28 hourly
