Position Overview
We are hiring reliable student staff to perform thorough deep cleaning of shared kitchen spaces. This role is essential to maintaining a clean safe and welcoming environment for our community. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented dependable and comfortable performing physical cleaning tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform deep cleaning of kitchen areas twice per week
- Clean and sanitize:
- Countertops sinks and backsplashes
- Appliances ( refrigeratorsinterior/exterior as assigned ovens stovetops)
- Cabinets drawers and handles
- Tables chairs and high-touch surfaces
- Sweep mop and spot-clean floors
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Restock basic cleaning supplies as needed
- Follow all cleaning checklists safety guidelines and sanitation procedures
- Report maintenance issues damaged equipment or supply shortages to supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled student in good standing
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending lifting up to X lbs and standing for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual with consistent availability
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior cleaning or custodial experience
- Familiarity with cleaning products and basic sanitation practices
Work Environment
- Indoor kitchen and common areas
- Use of standard cleaning supplies and equipment (training provided)
