This contract position is on-site offering a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced medical environment.
In this role you will play a vital part in our medical practice by administering anesthesia and monitoring patients throughout surgical procedures. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety and comfort of our pediatric patients ensuring a positive experience for families during challenging times.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients during surgical procedures
- Monitor patients vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure patient safety
- Provide pre-operative consultations and post-operative care
- Educate families about anesthesia processes and address concerns
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board certification in Anesthesiology with a focus on Pediatric Anesthesiology preferred
- Active medical license in Illinois
- Strong clinical skills in anesthesia administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
- Previous experience in a pediatric setting is a plus
Flexible Schedule: 8 or 10-hour day or swing shifts
Weeknight and weekend call available
50 anesthetizing locations per day
Case Types: General pediatric or high-acuity neuro cases
Supervision Model: 1:2 in main OR 1:3 or 1:4 in procedure rooms
Must be willing to supervise and work independently
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
