Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal issues
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay updated with advancements in gastroenterology and medical practices
- Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health and treatment options
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- State medical license to practice in Richmond
- Experience in gastroenterology or related field is preferred
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Schedule: 7a-7a call shifts specific dates
Setting: Inpatient
Patient Census: 3 per day
Duties: Inpatient and ER consults
EUS and ERCP required
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
