Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Solution Architect with deep expertise in Azure cloud application development .NET and Java technologies. The ideal candidate will design end-to-end enterprise applications provide technology leadership guide development teams and ensure architectural alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture Design
Design scalable secure and high-performance application architectures using:
Azure App Services Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Azure Functions
Azure API Management Azure Service Bus Event Hub
Create logical conceptual and physical architecture diagrams
Define and enforce integration data flow and application modernization patterns
Provide technology leadership for .NET and Java application development
2. Cloud Architecture on Azure
Architect cloud-native microservices-based applications on Azure
Define strategies for:
Application modernization
Cloud migration
Legacy system transformation
Optimize cost performance and reliability using Azure best practices
Implement high-availability disaster recovery and resiliency patterns
3. Development Leadership
Guide teams in building applications using:
.NET / .NET Core Java Spring Boot
REST APIs Microservices Event-driven architectures
Review code perform architecture audits and ensure adherence to standards
Mentor developers on cloud-native best practices and clean architecture principles
4. DevOps & Automation
Design CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM Bicep Terraform
Automate deployment testing and configuration across environments
5. Security & Compliance
Define application security architecture including:
API security
Identity and Access Management (Azure AD / Entra ID)
Key Vault integration
Application/network security
Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory security frameworks
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with business stakeholders project managers and developers
Translate business requirements into technical architecture
Provide thought leadership architectural roadmaps and solution blueprints
Essential Skills
Deep expertise in Azure cloud application development
Strong experience with .NET .NET Core and Java technologies
Proven track record in enterprise architecture design and solution delivery
Ability to lead technical teams mentor developers and enforce standards
Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills
Programming in Java
Exposure to microservices and cloud-native architecture patterns
Scripting experience (Groovy Python Shell)
Strong grounding in DevOps principles TDD CI/CD
Hands-on experience with AKS or similar cloud technologies
Experience automating infrastructure provisioning with Terraform Chef HELM
Familiarity with Jenkins Artifactory SonarQube
Knowledge of package management tools (npm pip)
Experience with build tools (Maven Gradle)
Familiarity with standard IT security practices
Knowledge of cloud database technologies (Azure SQL Cosmos DB MongoDB)

Experience (Years): 4-6 Essential Skills: Work with project teams throughout the organization to design implement and manage CDN infrastructure using Akamai to ensure high availability performance and scalability for customer facing applications and business processes. Handle multiple priorities and assignments with excellence and precision. Be a part of a 24/7/365 organization (some after hours support is expected as part of normal on-call rotation). Directly support line of business development teams provide guidance to them on implementation and changes for customer facing applications Develop and maintain security protocols and measures to protect CDN infrastructure from cyber threats. Monitor and analyze network performance identifying and resolving issues to optimize content delivery of critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Akamai CDN solutions with existing systems and applications. Collaborate with information security teams to implement DDoS protection strategies and other security measures in the CDN. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams regarding CDN and security best practices. Work closely with vendor and professional service teams on delivery related activities and strategy. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. OR similar work experience. Strong understanding of network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS DNS TCP/IP). Proven experience as a CDN Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on -depth knowledge of Content Delivery Network technologies including caching load balancing and content optimization. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience supporting 24/7/365 customer facing applications at enterprise scale. Awareness and experience with cybersecurity tools and practices such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Python Bash) a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH) are a plus but not required.
