As a Principal Engineer in the DI Transformation Office you lead the technical design and evolution of complex digital platforms that support largescale insurance transformation. You guide platform direction translate architecture into deliveryready designs and support engineering teams to deliver resilient scalable solutions that meet customer and regulatory expectations.
What Youll Do
- Lead the development of detailed technical designs translating business and architectural requirements into deliveryready scope that enables teams to deliver with confidence and speed
- Partner with Technical Business Analysts and architects to reduce ambiguity early ensuring solution definitions estimates and nonfunctional requirements are clear and aligned to enterprise guardrails
- Guide platform engineering decisions to ensure solutions align with longterm architectural vision resiliency targets and scalability requirements
- Lead largescale platform initiatives from inception through to production maintaining strong documentation and support practices for ongoing platform health
- Identify automation and optimisation opportunities that improve availability performance and cost efficiency across platforms
- Mentor and support engineers by sharing expertise strengthening engineering practices and contributing to a collaborative highquality delivery culture
What Youll Bring
- Extensive experience in a Senior Principal or Technical Lead engineering role delivering complex platform or enterprise solutions at scale
- Strong capability in evolving architecture and solution designs into detailed technical deliverables including spikes proofs of concept and discovery activities
- Experience working closely with engineering architecture and platform teams to deliver integrated solutions within regulated environments ideally financial services or insurance
- Proven ability to influence technical direction guide engineering standards and balance shortterm delivery needs with longterm platform sustainability
- A collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement supporting delivery teams leaders and partners to achieve shared outcomes
- A strong learning mindset with the ability to adapt to new technologies platforms and evolving business priorities
