Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager the Lead Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for the design development implementation and preservation of significant enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) reports and dashboards. Closely working with cross-organizational teams the BI Developer plays an important role in all stages of the report development including requirements analysis execution testing rollout support and evolution.

This position is an onsite role based in Springfield Missouri.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Partner with all cross-functional teams to draw out processes and document business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Data Analytics team in the development of the ETL process for efficient and robust data models that can be leveraged to develop engaging and effective analysis.
  • Create refined and intuitive business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI dashboards) which provide insights and direction to field representatives management and executives.
  • Oversee the optimization of the BI platform from a technical architecture perspective ensuring the tool is as performant as possible.
  • Manage data pipeline costs directly relating to BI platform.
  • Facilitate business user access to Snowflake (evaluate needs outline access) and act as go-between for all data engineering needs for EDM team.
  • Drive roll out strategy and presentation of deliverables including planning requirement gathering testing and implementation.
  • Facilitate UAT and QA testing to ensure data integrity.
  • Seek ongoing efficiencies to enhance department performance and productivity.
  • Support all correspondents and consumers in data utilization training and documentation.
  • Lead partner analytics teams co-development standardization and alignment ensuring partner team code & reporting can be supported by BI & ETL teams.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelors Degree
  • Preferred Degree: Bachelors Degree in Economics Mathematics Statistics Computer Science or related field
  • 5 years in development and analysis background preferably in a retail distribution center or merchandise planning environment
  • Advanced experience with KPIs report development and analysis.
  • Experience in Python SQL DAX Power BI SSRS and other reporting tools is required.
  • Understanding of enterprise data warehouse and data pipeline foundations
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines such as Gitlab is an asset

  • Knowledgeable in data mining and analytics
  • Capable of adapting to new technologies and dynamic requirements
  • Must be highly organized with strong sense of urgency in executing responsibilities and flexible when business needs require immediate changes to priorities
  • Synergetic and inquisitive thinker with focus on continuous growth

Makes recommendations that affect policies procedures and practices.
