Job Description:

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to support the coordination of clinical research activities for the ACE Fun and Fit Wellness Program the Pediatric Endocrinology Metabolic Obesity Program and the APK Internship Program. Responsibilities include assisting with research and project planning; interacting with and supporting study participants; collecting organizing and maintaining research and clinical data; coordinating and supporting community outreach and educational events; managing conference and program-related travel logistics; maintaining clinical and administrative records associated with the divisions Metabolic Obesity Fellowship Program; and ensuring that all administrative educational and operational tasks related to supported clinical and research initiatives are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Job Duties include:

  • Clinical Research Coordination and Data Management: Coordinate day-to-day clinical research activities for the ACE Fun & Fit Wellness Program and the Pediatric Endocrinology Metabolic Obesity Program including participant interaction data collection data entry maintenance of research databases and support of study timelines.
  • Program Administration and Operational Support: Provide administrative and operational support for clinical research and educational initiatives including scheduling correspondence document management maintenance of clinical and fellowship records and ensuring completion of required administrative tasks.
  • Community Outreach Events and Education Support: Assist with planning coordinating and supporting community-based programs wellness events educational sessions and outreach activities; maintain and update program educational materials.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Research Documentation Support: Assist with preparation and organization of IRB and regulatory documentation maintain project trackers support compliance activities and assist with preparation of abstracts presentations and reports under faculty supervision.
  • Coordinate conference logistics travel arrangements and scheduling related to research and program leadership; provide logistical support for meetings and professional activities.
Expected Salary:$19.50 per hour
Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma and one year of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
  • Bachelors degree in appropriate area.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.
  • IRB or other research regulatory group experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with faculty and staff at multiple levels.
