Developmental Pathways(DP) has an opportunity for anAssociate Director (AD) of Early Intervention (EI) to join our Early Intervention team! The AD of EI will be responsible for the implementation of operational systems in service coordination and service delivery including regional program management contract management billing DP therapy teams data systems management quality assurance intake and case management specialists within the department. This role will oversee the development and management of effective teams and community addition the AD of EI will coordinate and develop effective systems processes and solution-based management and ensure the implementation of state and federal guidelines of the Early Intervention Colorados Part C program under the Colorado Department of Human Services.
This is a great opportunity for a strong people leader and an early intervention professional who appreciates processes oversight administrative programming and has working knowledge of Part C of the IDEA.
This role offers a 4-day 40-hour work week Monday-Thursday. DP operates a primarily hybrid work environment with in-person requirements at our Aurora Colorado office. The frequency of on-site work varies by department and is subject to change based on operational needs.

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience within the field of Early Intervention Early Childhood or related field
  • Administrative Program Experience (has to have been in a position where supervision management and program oversight were demonstrated)
  • Thorough working knowledge of Part C of IDEA
  • Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate
  • Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and proof of motor vehicle insurance
  • Ability to meet our driving requirements - no suspensions/ no more than two tickets in the past three years
  • Upon request qualifying need and approval driving requirements may be waived in lieu of reliable transportation.

    Preferred
    • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in program development and early childhood systems
    • Knowledge of DIDD and CDPHE rules and regulations

    Additional Responsibilities
    • Oversee and supervise the day-to-day program operations and service delivery for Early Intervention services
    • Develop implement and coordinate processes to ensure compliance with Part C mandates and state requirements
    • Receive document and respond appropriately to concerns/complaints from individuals in services family members service agencies and other programs/agencies
    • Maintain program numbers with respect to caseloads and direct service funding and ensure staffing meets the demands of the service area
    • Assure appropriate funding approvals are in place prior to provision of services
    • Ensure individuals/familys services are billed according to funding sources
    • Assist in the development implementation and monitoring of department policies and procedures; ensure supervisees follow departmental and agency-wide policies and procedures
    • Assist with creating and implementing departmental goals and objectives and ensure they align with the organizations strategic goals and objectives; seek input from team members make sure supervisees are aware of established goals and objectives
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the legal requirements mandated by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) the Department of Labor (DOL) the Colorado Civil Rights Division (CCRD) and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)
    • Supervise the department Program Manager positions overseeing the delivery of service coordination and/or provision of early intervention services. Evaluate the performance of Program Manager(s)/PMs through ongoing supervision and regular performance evaluations; effectively and efficiently lead team members
    • Oversee and assist with the recruitment hiring training performance feedback and evaluation processes of team members
    • Make recommendations for employee disciplinary issues including terminations; ensure proper documentation for all personnel matters; consult with HR as appropriate
    • Serve as liaison to community interagency groups school districts and early intervention partners in a positive manner
