JOB SUMMARY:
PSPRS is currently seeking a highly motivated and reliable accounting professional to join its Investment Operations (IO) team. Reporting to the Director of Investment Operations this role works closely with the other members of IO team as well as Finance and Investments and is envisioned to be primarily responsible for supporting a robust internal investment transaction and reporting system maintaining shadow accounting ledgers in accordance with the industry best practices as well as gathering various investment reporting-related documentation.
Key duties include investment transaction processing monitoring of the accounting book of record assisting in preparation of various transaction and valuation reports as needed and performing reconciliations between the custody banks data and the external investment manager reports pertaining to the holdings of the Trusts $19 billion investment portfolio which currently encompasses over 300 commingled and separate accounts of liquid and illiquid securities (private equity and similar drawdown-type funds hedge funds passively traded SMAs and various private co-investment vehicles). By extension this role also involves clearing any exceptions and identifying and promptly escalating any issues that might affect the accuracy consistency and integrity of investment reporting. Finally this position may be responsible for special projects such as investment fee/expense validation and analysis or asset allocation reporting and for assisting with the various auditor and/or consultant requests.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
