The AI/ML Investment Services team at Point72 spearheads the development of cutting-edge AI solutions that seek to transform our business processes and enhance enterprise intelligence. The team aims to bridge the gap between business challenges and technological innovation collaborating with stakeholders across the firm and leveraging expertise in generative AI data engineering and machine learning.
What Youll Do
- Design build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Python and distributed processing frameworks on Databricks and cloud platforms
- Ingest normalize and enrich large volumes of structured and unstructured data including market feeds vendor datasets documents and alternative data
- Collaborate with AI engineers data scientists and software engineers to define data schemas interfaces and APIs that support model development and production services
- Implement automated data validation testing monitoring and alerting to ensure data quality freshness and drift detection for offline and online workloads
- Optimize pipeline performance and cost through efficient use of distributed compute storage patterns and cloud resource management
- Enforce data governance access controls and privacy standards while maintaining metadata and end-to-end data lineage using data cataloging tools
- Support onboarding and integration of external data vendors including contract-driven ingestion workflows metadata capture and delivery SLAs
- Build reusable data components libraries and deployment automation to accelerate delivery and operational stability of data products
- Evaluate and run proof-of-concepts for new data technologies and tooling relevant to generative AI and machine learning applications
WHATS REQUIRED
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related role
- Proficient in Python development for production data systems
- Strong experience with Spark or comparable distributed data processing frameworks
- Experience building and operating data pipelines on cloud platforms specifically AWS
- Strong SQL skills and practical experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured data including document and time-series data
- Demonstrated experience implementing data quality monitoring and data governance practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills and a commitment to the highest ethical standards
