Your role
In this role you will prepare position set up tear down transport install disassemble put away and configure production equipment and materials as well as perform technical operations.
Description of duties:
Prepare position set up tear down transport install disassemble put away move and perform routine maintenance on furniture technical equipment and scenic elements in studios as instructed (and referring to a plan if necessary) ensuring everything is clean secure and in good working order.
Prepare position check and initiate operation of communications-telex systems to meet production requirements.
Execute microphone placement per instructions or information received ensuring microphones are operational and able to meet production requirements.
Check that cameras are properly positioned and move them as needed to meet production requirements.
Mark out rehearsal areas as instructed or following information on plans.
Report any breakdowns or defects in equipment or material to the relevant people following up as needed.
Connect technical production equipment per instructions or information received ensuring compliance with circuit specifications and report on this task.
Ensure that work areas as well as technical production equipment and materials are clean and in good working order.
Complete the appropriate forms and documents; convey information in person or in writing to ensure proper follow-up and to keep others informed.
Familiarize other employees with their duties and work environment.
Carry out as needed all or part of the duties of another job classification within an equivalent or lower salary group as well as other related duties.
Relationships:
Report to the appropriate supervisor or other people depending on the assignment.
Maintain relationships internally and externally.
Some overtime may be required and the schedule is subject to change based on operational requirements (e.g. early starts and late finishes).
Your profile:
Education or equivalent knowledge:
College diploma (DCS) in TV production and post-production techniques or other relevant field
