Responsibilities
Do you enjoy working on cloud technologies and creating innovative solutions Do you want to collaborate with like-minded engineers across the globe As a Database Cloud Engineer you will work within the Database Platforms product area to design develop deploy and maintain enterprise database platforms. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated Cloud Engineer to join Cloud and Platform Engineering Database Platforms. We are a diverse open and transparent community where you will enable the next generation of Fidelitys digital services through innovative solutions using the latest database virtualization and data masking tools.
Qualifications
Youll Be A Great Fit If you Have:
- At least 8 years of experience working in a large database hybrid environment that includes both on-prem and public cloud resources
- Proven expertise and hands-on experience with deploying and managing relational databases such as Oracle MS SQL PostgreSQL or Sybase
- Expertise and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as GitHub Artifactory and Jenkins.
- Think innovatively and have the ability to automate various administrative tasks using Python Groovy Jenkins Java and/or shell scripting skills.
- Ability to evaluate and propose best-of-breed tools and engineering best practices.
- Experience with configuring alerts and monitors to create a highly available platform
- Experience with on-call support resolving incidents and release management practices.
- Strong communication and influencing skills
