Job Summary

Description

Purpose:

  • Clearly understand and communicate project objectives and goals.

  • Organize the resources needed to meet project requirements.

  • Owns project-level scope schedule and budget.

  • Ensure projects adhere to Church process and policy equivalent to the sphere of work.

  • Act as project generalist may be asked to manage a range of project types (e.g. web mobile exhibits AV production meetings etc.)

  • Engage when multiple deliverables coalesce into a cohesive whole and end-to-end management is needed.

  • Engage in small publishing deliverables and miscellaneous support.

  • This role will travel occasionally to support audio visual productions.

  • This role is based in Salt Lake City Utah.



Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Management: Understands coordinates and manages client and resource team expectations.

  • Integration Management: Plans directs manages monitors controls and closes projects of medium to high complexity.

  • Scope Management: Uses standard processes to ensure projects/programs include all and only the work required to complete the project successfully.

  • Time Management: Uses standard processes to ensure the timely completion of projects.

  • Cost Management: Uses standard processes to ensure projects are completed within the approved budget.

  • Quality Management: Uses standard processes to ensure the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken.

  • Human Resource Management: Uses personal skills and standard processes to make the most effective use of the project team.

  • Adapt to circumstances that require team collaboration.

  • Communications Management: Uses standard processes to ensure timely and appropriate generation collection dissemination storage and ultimate disposition of project information. Provides the critical links among people (including senior-level leaders) ideas and information that are necessary for success.

  • Risk Management: Uses standard process to identify analyze and respond to project risk.

  • Procurement Management: Uses standard processes to acquire goods and services from providers.



Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience (e.g. 10 years in publishing project management).

  • Minimum 3 years of publishing project management experience or masters degree and 1 year of related experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage scope schedule and budget for medium-complexity projects with multiple deliverables across languages.

  • Experience coordinating and communicating across cross-functional teams (creative editorial operations vendors).

  • Proficiency in a project management system such as Workfront (or comparable tool).

  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior-level leaders with trust discretion and clarityproviding timely status risk escalation options and decision-ready recommendations.

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of AI-enabled marketing/publishing tools to improve project throughput while maintaining brand standards and data privacy.

  • Comfortable using design and video editing tools for light production support (e.g. simple edits resizing/exporting assets basic titles/captions).

  • Experience supporting end-to-end AV production management (pre-production planning on-site execution and post-production handoff) including stakeholder coordination and timeline control.

  • Working toward PMP certification or other industry-recognized project management certification.

  • Familiar with the United States Southeast Area.

  • English proficiency; Spanish as a first or second language.
