Job Summary
Security Functions
- Serve as Site Security Officer (SSO)
- Oversee Contract Security function and supervision
- Protect physical assets facilities and personnel
- Manage access control systems and surveillance
- Conduct security risk assessments
- Implement cybersecurity awareness programs
- Coordinate with law enforcement when needed
- Oversee visitor management protocols
- Respond to security incidents
- Manage crisis and business continuity planning
- Develop and implement security written programs and associated training
- Collaborate with Regional Security Lead and legal support
- Manage Security cost center
- Represent Site at Louisiana Chemical Association (LCA)
- Design and facilitate periodic Security drills
Safety Functions
- Support Occupational Safety Group in compliance with OSHA EPA and local regulations
- Develop and implement Occupational Safety programs
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses
- Investigate incidents and near-misses
- Deliver safety training and awareness programs
- Monitor workplace conditions and compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Track safety KPIs and metrics
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science in Safety Security or related discipline or equivilent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Safety and Security compliance within the chemical/petrochemical manufacturing facilities or refining preferred
- Leadership experience for large facility of 800 employees is desirable
- Professional Certification in Security or Safety is desirable
