AECOM is currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team in the Savannah GA area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support a variety of civil engineering projects associated with the Georgia Ports Authority.
- Develops and strengthens analytical and engineering design skills through active participation in project assignments and technical tasks
- Performs engineering design activities under the guidance and supervision of an experienced engineer ensuring adherence to applicable standards and project requirements
- Prepares detailed designs calculations technical reports sketches diagrams schematic layouts and final construction documents in support of project deliverables
- Assists with the collection compilation and analysis of engineering data to support project planning design development and technical decision-making.
- Utilizes industry-standard engineering software and tools to perform calculations modeling drafting and problem-solving for routine engineering challenges
- Coordinates assigned tasks to ensure work is completed in accordance with established project budgets schedules and quality standards under supervision
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work
- Valid U.S Drivers License required to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
- Ability to obtain TWIC - Transportation Workers Identification Card
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using MicroStation
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience assisting on civil engineering projects
