Job Summary

World Academy is currently seeking an innovative and passionate K-8 Music Educator for the school year. This position serves students in grades K-8 and could include instrumental and/or vocal instruction general music chorus direction band involvement and performance-based coursework. The Music Educator will play a central role in cultivating a vibrant arts culture within the school must be able to instruct and inspire students ensuring that each individual is provided with the musical knowledge skills and experiences needed to become successful contributing global citizens and lifelong ideal candidate will be a leader in music education with a deep commitment to student engagement and artistic growth. The Music Educator will be responsible for delivering instruction that enhances creativity collaboration critical thinking and musical literacy while contributing to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences within a safe and supportive environment. The individual must value diversity and respect for must hold at least a Bachelors degree and possess (or be certifiable) a valid NH or MA teacher certification (or certification from a state with recognized reciprocity) in Music Education or Elementary Education with a music specialization or related advanced include but is not limited to:Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with teachers students and parentsDesigning and delivering engaging developmentally appropriate music instruction for grades K-8Directing chorus and coordinating performances concerts and school-wide eventsDemonstrating knowledge of 21st-century learning instructional techniquesAdapting instruction to meet diverse learning styles and student needsCreating curriculum and learning experiences aligned with instructional objectives and project based integrating technology and interdisciplinary connections into music instructionImplementing proactive and positive behavior management strategiesProfessional obligations of teachers at World Academy are supported and fulfilled through the continuous pursuit of new understanding of teaching and learning reflection on personal practices and beliefs and efficient work habits for planning collaboration and meeting professional expectations.
