Contract Position 12 Months Miami FL
Position Overview
Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Senior IT Systems Administrator with 11-15 years of expertise in hybrid cloud environments enterprise directory services and virtualized infrastructure. This role requires a technical professional who can manage complex systems across on-premises and cloud platforms while maintaining high availability and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design implement and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure spanning on-premises and cloud platforms
- Manage enterprise directory services including Active Directory LDAP and identity management systems
- Oversee virtualized infrastructure using VMware Hyper-V or similar technologies
- Monitor system performance capacity planning and optimization across enterprise environments
- Lead system upgrades migrations and infrastructure modernization projects
- Implement and maintain security policies patch management and compliance standards
- Provide tier 3 support for complex technical issues and system outages
- Mentor junior administrators and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Document system configurations procedures and maintain technical architecture diagrams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- 11-15 years of hands-on experience in systems administration
- Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
- Extensive experience with Active Directory Group Policy and DNS/DHCP
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS Azure or Google Cloud)
- Strong virtualization experience with VMware vSphere or equivalent
- Experience with PowerShell Python or other automation scripting
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP VLANs and firewalls
- Relevant certifications preferred (MCSE VCP AWS/Azure certifications)
