Were looking for an experienced Quality Inspector III to support our electronics manufacturing this role youll inspect PCB assemblies and box-build electronic/electrical products to ensure they meet IPC-A-610 and customer quality standards. Youll use tools like AOI microscopes and magnification equipment document inspection results and work closely with Engineering Quality and Production teams.

This role also includes training and mentoring junior inspectors participating in continuous improvement efforts and providing real-time feedback to help prevent defects.

This position follows a Thursday - Saturday 5:00 AM 5:00 PM day shift schedule.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inspect electronic PCB assemblies subassemblies and box-build assemblies to ensure compliance with customer requirements and workmanship standards (IPC-A-610).
  • Read and interpret drawings specifications and job travelers to verify product conformance.
  • Perform SMT through-hole modification final and rework inspections as required.
  • Utilize inspection tools including AOI magnification lamps microscopes and other visual inspection equipment.
  • Accurately document inspection results (pass/fail/reject) using daily inspection sheets or FactoryLogix.
  • Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns to Manufacturing Engineering Quality Engineering production teams and leadership as needed.
  • Provide timely feedback to production personnel to support corrective action and defect prevention.
  • Participate in internal quality audits and Continuous Improvement / Lean initiatives.
  • Train and mentor Quality Inspector I & II team members on inspection techniques standards and procedures.
  • Participate in daily pass-down meetings and collaborate with team members to resolve issues and share updates.
  • Follow established quality policies procedures and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
  • Support manufacturing priorities with flexibility as production needs change.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Electronics or a related field OR a minimum of five (5) years of quality inspection experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to evaluate product quality against written documentation.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Reliable punctual and adaptable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills including data entry.
  • Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills (addition subtraction multiplication division).
  • Ability to interpret charts graphs and basic performance data.

Certifications

  • Within one year of hire must successfully complete the Milwaukee Electronics Component Identification course.
  • Within one year of hire must obtain IPC-A-610 certification (current revision).

Physical Demands

  • Work may be performed seated or standing depending on workstation.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling reaching and inspection tasks.
  • Occasional standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include close and distance vision color vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
