Main Function
The Preschool Coordinator at RPC is a member of the church staff. This person is responsible for adhering to the mission statement in planning and preparing for RPC children as well as diligently completing all tasks as assigned by the Childrens Minister (CM).
Tasks & Responsibilities
Weekly:
- Receive a weekly communication from Childrens Minister for curriculum through team leader system
- Work weekly to help assign volunteers in church scheduling system in coordination with the team leaders
- Assist team leaders in finding subs for volunteers when needed
- Ensure room setup for all preschool rooms at CC is completed before 8a each Sunday morning
- Ensure the preschool rooms are sanitized craft bins collected and put away cleaning supplies and craft supplies are put away chairs stacked etc.
- Is present each Sunday morning to be responsible as a floor leader from 8a to completion
- Communicate weekly with Childrens Minister for any documentation needed in the church database system/care notes
Monthly:
- Provide encouragement to volunteers as needed or requested by way of prayer thank you notes get well cards emails or phone calls
- Report any replenishment of supplies needed for all preschool rooms e.g. response station supplies Kleenex hand gel etc.
- Ministers to preschool families and children as needs arise or reports those needs to ACM or CM
- Attends 1st and 3rd Tuesday All-Staff Meeting
Other Duties:
- Clear understanding of and commitment to modeling our RPC Staff Values
- Handle and safeguard confidential church information
- Attend weekly Childrens Ministry staff meetings
- Attend Childrens Ministry retreats or conferences when able
- Attend Level 1 Events e.g. CrossTraining Christmas Easter and Promotion Sunday as directed by the Childcare Director & Childrens Minister
- Help plan the yearly volunteer and team leader connection events with other staff
- Involved in the planning and execution of Level 1 Events for CM such as CrossTraining and Easter
- Notify CM of any changes in volunteer positions for Birth-PreK grade area
- Recruit and encourages volunteers that share a passion for missions and children
- Report any needs and issues that may need the attention of the Childrens Minister in a timely manner
- Attend Yearly CMIN Planning/Spiritual Retreat
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Skills & Attributes
- Demonstrate computer literacy have a working knowledge of Word PowerPoint Teams and Excel and is willing to learn the workings of the RPC Kids media stations and check-in system
- Basic knowledge of or ability to learn platforms used by RockPointe Church: Bamboo TouchPoint eSpace Nexonia Asana etc.
- Operate as a self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Remain flexible to meet administrative and Childrens Ministry needs
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Responsiveness and flexibility regarding time-sensitive changes and/or requests
