What youll do
Were looking for a Senior Android Developer to help scale Claras Android experience and shape the future of financial software in Latin America. Youll be a technical expert on the Mobile Engineering Android team setting best practices delivering high-impact features and mentoring fellow developers. Youll collaborate closely with product design and backend teams to deliver fast secure and delightful mobile experiences.
In this role you will:
Drive Claras Android technical roadmap in collaboration with Engineering leadership.
Architect modular reusable components using Kotlin Jetpack Compose and modern Android libraries.
Lead development initiatives of new product features while improving app reliability performance and maintainability.
Promote and uphold high engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship.
Contribute to hiring and onboarding as we scale the Android team.
Advocate for a product-driven quality-focused mobile engineering culture.
Who you are
Were looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus not a requirement.
Must haves
7 years of professional Android development experience including 2 years in a senior or technical leadership role.
Deep expertise with Kotlin Jetpack Compose and Android architectural patterns (e.g. MVVM Clean Architecture).
Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Hilt or Dagger.
Familiarity with performance tuning crash reporting and CI/CD pipelines.
Working proficiency in English and Spanish.
Strong communication skills and a track record of mentoring or coaching engineers.
Nice to haves
Experience working in a fintech or other highly regulated industry.
Knowledge of CI/CD A/B testing frameworks and analytics integration in Android apps.
Interest in leveraging AI tools to automate development workflows.
Basic proficiency in Portuguese or interest in learning.

Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office talking to or visiting customers or working from home. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for each individual and team.
We dont enforce a minimum number of days for most roles but youre expected to spend time at the office organically and be at the office most days during your ramp-up or when required by your leader.
