US Oncology Technology Transformation Organization is seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic team within the USON Technology Team. The Specialty Solutions Portfolio Manager will oversee a portfolio of high-volume compliance cybersecurity and technical upgrade initiatives within the Specialty Applications team. The Specialty Applications include highly regulated Clinical Radiation and Imaging applications that support our community oncology practices. This role is critical to strengthening demand and capacity management enabling a shift from reactive operations to a proactive strategic model. The position will drive performance improvement across the portfolio and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead portfolio planning and prioritization for compliance cybersecurity and technical upgrade projects.

  • Develop and maintain portfolio governance frameworks ensuring transparency and accountability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT security operations PMO) to align capacity with demand.

  • Implement proactive forecasting and resource allocation strategies to optimize delivery.

  • Monitor portfolio health risks and dependencies; escalate and resolve issues promptly.

  • Communicate portfolio status progress and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and cybersecurity standards across all initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement in portfolio management processes and tools.

Key Competencies:

  • Compliance and Security: Strong understanding of compliance and cybersecurity requirements in healthcare or regulated environments.

  • Portfolio & Program Management: Expertise in portfolio and program management methodologies (e.g. PMI SAFe). Analytical mindset for capacity planning and performance optimization. Ability to manage complex multi-project environments with competing priorities.

  • Leadership and Collaboration: Excellent leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams including IT operations and vendors. Ability to influence and drive change across the portfolio.

  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey project status progress and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate portfolio risks and ensure timely resolution of issues.

  • Healthcare IT Knowledge: Experience with healthcare IT and clinical applications is preferred.

  • Adaptability: The ability to quickly adapt and adjust to change.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10 years of relevant experience. Less years required if has relevant Masters or Doctorate qualifications.

Critical Skills:

  • Relevant experience in program or portfolio management with a focus on Cybersecurity and Compliance in healthcare (and preferably Oncology setting).

  • Familiarity with demand/capacity planning tools and techniques.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale complex portfolio covering multiple large and complex projects.

  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven experience in managing diverse vendors for successful program delivery.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is preferred.

  • Experience with healthcare IT and clinical applications.

  • Knowledge of McKessons business processes and systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to influence and drive change across the organization.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree (in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field) or equivalent experience.
