Job Summary
The School Psychologist impacts students lives by:
- Coordinating and completing Bulletin 1508/IDEIA initial evaluations and reevaluations in a compliant and timely manner
- Interacting with school-based and outside related service providers to obtain necessary evaluation components and make team-based eligibility determinations
- Attending and participating in IEP meetings as the evaluation representative
- Collaborating with the school-based Directors of Special Education to ensure that the school complies with all relevant local state and federal regulations governing students with disabilities or who are under the evaluation process
- Consulting with school leaders and individual teachers regarding high priority students
- Conducting social-emotional skills groups as needed
- Taking on other tasks as needed

- Possess certification in school psychology from the state of Louisiana or have the necessary requirements to apply and obtain one
- Demonstrate past success working with students in non-selective schools
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit stand walk talk hear operate a computer and other office equipment reach with hands and arms and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- This is an in-person role
