Purpose: Under the direction of the Quality Team Leader or delegate and with the objective of maintaining high quality standards in the raw materials control process maintains control of the raw materials submitted for evaluation conducts inspections and recommends final disposition.

You will be responsible for:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using a variety of test and inspection equipment following applicable procedures to determine the material disposition.
  • Maintain the control of raw materials under evaluation and after evaluation.
  • Send samples to supplier for further evaluations as needed.
  • Notify raw materials nonconformance to Supplier Quality Management and support investigations.
  • Maintain control of nonconforming raw materials following applicable procedures.
  • Support Plant operations in solving raw material issues affecting the manufacturing process.
  • Train technicians and associates in the raw materials QA functions as needed.
  • Keep records of all performed tests following GDP and GMP.
  • Comply with all environmental safety and occupational health policies (i.e. ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001).
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree is required degree in a science or technical field is preferred; with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in a regulated industry and at least two (2) years in Quality or related roles is required.
  • A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered; equivalent combination is a minimum of Associate Degree plus at least 4 years of experience in the regulated industry and at least four (4) years in Quality or related role is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers is preferred.
  • Knowledge of QSRs and ISO Standards is required.
  • Intermediate English communication skills are preferred.
  • Availability to work overtime various work schedules which may include 1st 2nd 3rd shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts including weekends and holidays is required.
