Ophthalmic Technician

We have an immediate openingfor a full-time (M-F) experienced Ophthalmic technician.
The ophthalmic technicianswork closely with ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive care for our patients. Candidates should be ready to work both independently and as a member of a team accept responsibility for assigned patient care and be able to perform responsibilities in a friendly and efficient manner.
Responsibilities include:
-Taking patient medical and ocular histories
-Documenting in electronic medical records
-Performing patient workups
-Diagnostic testing
-Triage phone calls
-Patient education
Experience isrequired.
Ideal candidates would be skilled in:
-Retinoscopy
-Manual refraction
-Applanation A-scan
-Manual keratometry
-Tonometry
-Pentacam
-IOL Master
-Performing OCT and VF testing
Daytime travel required. When traveling outside your base clinic travel time and mileage will be reimbursed.
