About the opportunity
The Admissions Officer is part of the team responsible for efficient admissions from application receipt to enrolment of prospective students into pre-degree bachelor and postgraduate coursework courses at the University. The focus of the role includes assessment of applications against approved entry requirements in accordance with the University admissions policy and procedures follow up with applicants on outstanding applications generation and monitoring ofoffers acceptances and enrolments against set targets and the provision of accurate advice and high-level service to applicants Colleges and other key stakeholders across the institution.
What youll do:
- Assess applications against approved entry requirements in accordance with University policy and procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports correspondence and documents on complex and sensitive issues relating to admissions and enrolments.
- Be part of a high performing team to deliver efficient innovative admissions and enrolment operations and meet targets.
- Ensure consistent interpretation implementation and compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Maintain establish and implement consistent entry standards and requirements for University courses in line with industry benchmarks.
What were looking for:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience education and/or training.
- Strong interpersonal and communication with the ability to communicate clearly to a variety of audiences and to resolve conflict.
- Demonstrated experience in working in a complex administrative environment and interpretating and administering policies and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills while working under pressure with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or within a team to deliver positive outcomes identified goals and objectives while ensuring compliance.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $105665 comprising base salary within the range of $80869 to $90312 plus 17% superannuation.
