Job Summary
POSITION: R&D Technician III
FULLTIME: 12-month assignment
LOCATION: Maple Grove MN (Viva Lake Facility)
SCHEDULE: 8am-4:30pm
PAY RANGE: $34/HR
(Exact compensation may vary based on skills experience and location. Base pay information is based on market location.)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position works independently to assist R&D engineers scientists and/or teams in the development and analysis of products materials processes or equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
2. Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.
3. Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
4. Organize coordinate and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
5. Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
6. Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
7. Act as a resource to other employees.
8. Communicate project status to project teams.
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Qualifications
AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
Med Device experience is a big plus.
R&D experience is preferred.
Understands product development.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels such as from office equipment.
- The ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Use of computers and technology
