ABM is hiring an experienced HVAC Tech Journeyman to support commercial clients in and around Tustin CA area. This is a field-based commercial service role focused on troubleshooting preventive maintenance and repair of complex HVAC systems. Technicians are dispatched from home. Residential-only experience is not a fit for this role.

Union Pay: $61.15/hr. The pay listed is the salary range listed for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the applicants successful education experience skills abilities geographic location and alignment with the market data.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot maintain and repaircommercial HVAC systems including RTUs and large packaged units
Perform preventive maintenance and service repairs for contracted customers
Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using industry-standard tools
Servicelarge-tonnage equipment (100 plus tons preferred)
Document work performed and communicate clearly with customers
Follow all safety procedures codes and company standards

Qualifications

57 plus years of commercial HVAC service experience
Strong troubleshooting and PM/service background
EPA Universal Certification required
High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade training preferred)
Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge

Preferred Experience

Large-tonnage equipment
Air-cooled chillers (any level)
Commercial or industrial refrigeration

Requirements

Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
Must be part of the Local 250 or willing to join
Ability to travel throughout the Tustin CA area
Ability to lift equipment and perform physical job duties
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed
Pre-employment background check drug test and MVR required
