We are seeking a pragmatic innovativeand collaborativedata incidentandrisk managementprofessional to join our Data Risk and Governance teamtoplay a key role in managingthe investigation and remediation of data incidentsas part of the wider TAD (Technology AI Data and Third Parties) Risk Management Team.
Our team supports PwCs client-facing and internal businesses toidentify assess and manage risks arising across the data lifecycle (plan collect/create store share use dispose)toenablethe firm to deliver services and operate safely and in compliance with legislative regulatory and ethical requirements.
Despite firmwide awareness campaigns and mandatory trainingon how to handle PwC and client data thingscanstill go this happensitsimperativeweactquickly tocontainand remediate the situation to protect the firm its people and particularly those parties whose information might be at risk.
Thisroleis responsible formanaging the investigation and remediation of all data incidents caused by orimpactingPwC UK workingclosely withkey stakeholdersacross the business to gather facts coordinate remediation and issueguidance inresponse to data theteamconsidersappropriate consequencespresentsnarrative and incident trend analysis to senior stakeholdersconcerningthe current risk landscape anddriveschangesto reduce incidentoccurrenceand improve security.
What your days will look like:
In this role you will collaborate acrossa wide range of stakeholder teamsto manage and remediate incidents effectively ensuring our data and reputation are protected. Specifically:
Oversea theend-to-endinvestigation and resolution ofalldata incidents applying strategic approaches torisk mitigation and incident management.
Develop and implement comprehensive processes to enhance incident response and detection capabilities including how the teamoperatesand coordinates across all stakeholders.
Consider incidents against the relevant consequences framework and recommendappropriateand proportionate sanctions
Monitor trendsidentifyrootcausesandregularly communicateinsights and proactive recommendations to senior stakeholders to prevent recurrence.
Lead initiatives to enhance and adapt incident response processes to accommodate emerging threats and technology.
Escalate significant incidents to senior stakeholders and guide the firms comprehensive response.
Supportthe recruitment and development of junior team members through strong managerial and coaching skills
Encourage a culture of security awareness across the organisation through training and engagement.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards in all incident response activities.
Lead regular reviews of incident management processes driving continuous improvements and ensuring best practices are employed.
This role is for you if:
Extensive experience in incident management with the ability to oversee investigate track manage and remediate incidents.
Strong verbal and written communication skills effectively articulating complex ideas in public forums and through documentation.
Proficiencyin escalating incidents to leadership promptly and professionally.
Ability to build andmaintainstrong relationships with diverse stakeholders (Legal ComplianceCyberData Protection etc.).
Experience in compliance data protection risk management and security best practices.
Capable of leading effectively in an agileambiguousandfast-paced environment prioritising multiple tasks and projects and ensuring team alignment.
Resilientflexibleand organised with the ability to balance evolving requirements and priorities
Goodlevelofunderstanding of PwCs business model service offerings and business operating environment as it pertains to the firms threat landscape.
Strong leadership abilities and team management skills with experience in guiding and motivating teams to achieve organisational goals.
Strategic thinking with the ability toanticipatechallenges and proactivelyidentifyopportunities for improvement.
Exceptional problem-solving skills witha track recordof devising innovative solutions to complex problems.
