Job Summary

  • An opportunity to be part of a passionate and motivated team charged with thepreparation anddelivery of the RoadPolicing Investment Programme and activities to support that programme.
  • Leads work to meet NZTAs statutory obligations under the Land Transport Management Act
  • Works in partnership with Police to fulfil these obligationsand alsosupports engagement between a range of other business groups across the agencies

Thepurposeof the Senior Advisor is to lead performance monitoringplanningand reporting against the RoadPolicing Investment Programme (RPIP).The role includes working with NZ Police to prepare the programme andcontributesto reporting requirementsincluding to Ministers (Transport and NZ Police)and togovernanceforums.It providesqualitative and quantitative data to meet those requirements.

We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $109408 - $121564 commensurate to skills and experience.

System Policy developsinfluencesand delivers policy advice to solve issues and improve the land transport system. We:

  • Inform and influence central government agencies to develop quality policy advice to Government
  • Advise NZTA decision-makers on key policy shifts and implications
  • Support and/or lead the development of legislative solutions and improvements
  • Partner with the Ministry of Transport teams within NZTA and stakeholders to ensure the land transport system is fit-for-purpose
