TheTraining Facilitatoris a full-time non-exempt position responsiblefor providing direct instruction and skill-building opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental positionishousedwithin the Information & Family Support department. The Training facilitatorpreparesindividuals and groups throughhands-on coaching and curriculum design focusing on cultivating autonomy by guiding learners through the nuances of healthy boundaries career readiness and systemic navigation. The facilitatoralso overseesthe administrative integrity of the programsthrough data management and outcome tracking. This role serves as an ideal opportunity for a structured professional dedicated to removing barriers and empowering individuals to thrive in their communities.

Duties specific to this position
Direct Instruction & Skill Development
Teach independent living skills to empower participants to live more autonomously in the community.
Facilitate trainingonself-advocacy skills helping individualsseeksystemicallyequitabletreatment and personal agency.
Lead sessions on social skills and healthy relationship skills to support full inclusion and community connection.
Provide instruction on vocational skills toassistparticipants inpreparing for obtaining andmaintainingemployment.
Develop and distribute presentation materials and curriculum tailored to diverse learning needs.
Coordination
Coordinate services with state and private funding sources to ensure program continuity.
Serve as a liaison between participants families and external community partners.
Documentation
Complete required report writing for state agencies and private funders to document participant progress and program outcomes.
Fulfill information and document requests as necessary for audits or program reviews.
Maintainaccuraterecords of attendance skill acquisition and goal achievement for all participants.
Assistin tracking contracts andmaintainingorganized agency folders for program accountability.
Additional
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of IDD services and resources.

Physical and Other Requirements
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Ability to use phone email and internet with ease
Work hours typically occur between 8:30 AM 4:30 PM Monday-Friday with some flexibility
Requires some evening and weekend work with advanced notice
Regular presence in ourmain office The Arc Legacy Center in SeaTac
Ability to travel anywhere in King County as needed (if driving must have a WA drivers license and car insurance; if not driving ability to be punctual)
Hours/Salary/Benefits
This is a full-time non-exempt position.
This position is eligible for The Arc of King Countys employee benefits package which includes medical dental and vision insurance 401(K) EAP Orca card paid holidays paid personal leave and more.
Hourly Wage$25 to $35 per hour depending on experience.
Education
Bachelor-level degreerequireddirectly relatedto work.
Experiences
At least 1 year of experience providing services or educating individuals with disabilities.

Minimum qualifications
Direct experience interacting with and supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Ability to learn about IDD and community resources through experience on-the-job training and other professional development opportunities and to successfully relay that information to individuals with IDD and their families.
An ongoing commitment to learning as policies services and procedures change over time.
Ability to learn and implement State of Washington Mandatory Reporting ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse economic ethnic and social backgrounds.
Experience in using MS Office Suite ( Excel PowerPoint Outlook etc.) and able to learn and use other required technology
Experience with Salesforce preferred.
ORa combination of education experience and measurable performance which demonstrates the capability to perform the duties of this position.
