Job Summary

The Telecom Network Administrator is responsible for the overall administrative management of our Telecommunications services including both wireline and wireless platforms. This role will be the point of contact for ordering new services canceling existing services and managing the transfer of services across all of our carriers and including all of our Regional Business Units. They will manage inventory of all of our circuits toll free & DID numbers cellular devices (including phones tablets cards etc....) and align all services/devices with users and locations. This role will be responsible for the companies TEM (telecom expense management) functions including reviewing invoices identifying billing discrepancies and filing claims or disputes with the necessary carriers. Additional responsibilities will include plan and service cost optimization across both wireline and wireless platforms.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

Cellular Services Administration & Management

  • Responsible for the daily activities of ordering new cell phone accounts phone replacements/refreshes etc.
  • Works with IT Procurement and IT Asset Management on any ordering and asset tracking and identification tasks
  • Interfaces with our wireless carriers on reporting of services
  • Works with IT Controlling to manage circuit inventory and site-level billing within ITs billing & Asset management database (Quickbase)
  • Reports to IT and Organizational Unit (OU) Business Management on established KPIs

Wireline Services Administration & Management

  • Responsible for the ordering canceling and day-to-day inventory management of thyssenkrupps Network circuits including POTS DID Port and Access services
  • Reports to IT and OU Business Management on established KPIs
  • Works with IT Controlling to manage circuit inventory and site-level billing within Quickbase
  • Opens and manages tickets with carriers and communicates with business stakeholders
  • Monitors and manages through resolution incident tickets for outages

Telecomm Expense Management (TEM) Services

  • Reviews monthly invoices from carriers and identifies any billing issues and is responsible for following up with the carriers on resolution
  • Works with IT Controlling on processing of credits refunds etc.
  • Responsible for periodic reviews of our Plans Rates and overall costs for Telecom services. Works with IT Procurement on negotiating with carriers to realize the most cost-effective services in line with market standards
  • Provides periodic reporting to IT and OU Business Management on established KPIs

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree in the field of Business Administration or other relevant degree
  • 3 years of experience in IT Network Infrastructure departments or Telecom Expense Management (TEM) department

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Shown experience in telecom expense management
  • Familiarity and history with major carrier invoice and dispute systems
  • Preferred previous experience with large-scale circuit audits
