About the position
The Senior Coordinator - Intake plays a key role in supporting student health and wellbeing by providing high-quality initial assessments crisis interventions and coordination of student wellbeing requests across Wellbeing Services. This role involves a range of responsibilities including crisis intervention risk assessments safety planning psycho-social evaluations care coordination advocacy supportive counselling and interim case management as needed.
In cases where students needs are better served by external services the Senior Coordinator - Intake will facilitate referrals. Additionally the role involves triaging and coordinating care for students seeking support from Wellbeing Services. The senior coordinator ensures that assessments and interventions are delivered in a trauma-informed victim-centered manner prioritizing both student safety and effective care.
The ultimate goal is to ensure students receive the appropriate services in a timely and secure manner while managing any immediate risks or crises until a suitable service can take over their care.
