This is a senior hands-on Full Stack Developer role where you will take true ownership of end-to-end product development. You will act as a core technical pillar for a multidisciplinary R&D team contributing not just through code but also through architectural thinking technical leadership and collaboration.

You will work on cutting-edge wearable-based healthcare solutions that transform complex sensor data into meaningful potentially life-saving insights. This role offers the opportunity to influence product direction shape scalable systems and work closely with stakeholders across locations.

The position is full-time and hybrid based in Montreal QC.

What Youll Do:

• Design build maintain and own the full lifecycle of core products that convert wearable sensor data into actionable health insights.
• Ensure scalability reliability performance and security of systems handling sensitive health data while adhering to privacy and compliance standards.
• Lead and contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
• Review code optimize performance and ensure systems remain maintainable and future-ready.
• Serve as a main technical focal point for a multidisciplinary team supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Take responsibility for system monitoring stability and continuous improvement in production environments.

What You Bring:

Experience & Mindset

• 8 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer with significant contributions to production systems across architecture design development testing deployment and monitoring.
• Strong sense of ownership with a proactive can-do attitude.
• Ability to work autonomously with discipline accountability and clear communication.

Technical Skills

Frontend & Mobile

• React React Native
• TypeScript and JavaScript
• Mobile app deployment experience (Google Play and App Store)

Backend & Data

• Laravel (including workers queues and schedulers)
• Python
• PostgreSQL or similar database technologies
• REST APIs and Webhooks

Infrastructure & DevOps

• Cloud platforms and services particularly AWS (Lambda S3)
• Logging and monitoring tools (CloudWatch Firebase Sentry)
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker AWS ECS ELB)
• Version control and CI/CD (Git GitHub Actions)

Domain Expertise

• Proven experience retrieving and processing data from wearable devices (e.g. smartwatches or similar).
• Proven experience working with health data and compliance standards such as HIPAA and SOC 2

Education & Communication:

• . or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design multithreading code optimization and runtime complexity.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to support collaboration across time zones.
