Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to support both clinical and administrative functions in an ambulatory care setting. This role works under the supervision of a physician provider and/or registered nurse and plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care to veterans and individuals who have served our country.
This is a full-time weekday position ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured clinical environment
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support
- Greet and assist patients and veterans with professionalism and compassion
- Measure and record vital signs
- Assist with basic patient care including blood draws and diagnostic testing
- Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures as needed
Administrative Duties
- Answer and screen phone calls; route inquiries appropriately
- Schedule confirm and coordinate patient appointments and testing
- Complete patient registration and update demographic information
- Maintain accurate medical records charts files and logs
- Respond to billing-related questions and clerical inquiries
- Perform data entry reporting and general correspondence
- Maintain and order office and clinical supplies
