Overview
The Business Solutions Architect I will coordinate the design and implementation of organizational business systems to align with strategic goals and operational needs by developing scalable efficient and integrated system architectures that bridge the gap between business processes and technology. The incumbent collaborates with stakeholders and other Business Solutions team members to assess current systems; identify areas for improvement; and support implementation of solutions that enhance performance data flow and user experience while ensuring that all systems are secure compliant and adaptable to future business growth and technological advancements. The incumbent additionally plays a role in ensuring the effective delivery of enterprise resource planning (ERP) services and related initiatives.
**Applicants with HR knowledge is preferred. Also desired are those with the the ability to gather project requirements and recommend business process changes. Technical skills are a plus but not a requirement. Advanced reporting skills are desirable.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate efforts related to the project life cycle to include requirement gathering planning testing implementation documentation and end-user training.
2. Assess and identify opportunities for application enhancements through end user requests business needs and overall strategic planning for the enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform and other third-party applications.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications within the ERP platform and other stand-alone applications.
4. Assist in the management of stand-alone applications as assigned (e.g. Learning and Development Time & Attendance).
5. Gather information and collaborate with team members to translate new functional ideas and concepts into technical solutions to adapt to changing work demands and lead change initiatives.
6. Participate in the design development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for end-users ensuring successful adoption and optimal use of business solutions across the organization.
7. Document and standardize business processes and workflows. Maintain proper documentation of application changes enhancements and troubleshooting.
8. Present technical solutions to cross-departmental decision-makers including organizational leaders and executives.
9. Oversee the design development implementation and maintenance of third-party electronic interfaces.
10. Monitor work of consultants and developers to ensure successful and timely project and task completion.
11. Work with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
12. Support audit and regulatory reporting requirements by designing and maintaining accurate timely and compliant reporting solutions. Utilize tools such as Excel Power BI and ERP-native reporting platforms to extract transform and present data.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Technology or related field required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years of experience developing maintaining and managing ERP applications or in a role responsible for analyzing processes and implementing systems solutions that address key business objectives required. Certification related to the administration of ERP applications may be substituted for direct experience at the discretion of the Assistant Director Business Solutions.
