Position Overview
The Summer Support worker is responsible for assisting the Facilities Operations leadership team in advancing strategic goals by supporting initiatives and particular this position would support the initiatives and tasks managed by the Energy Team.
Roles and Responsibilities
The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate:
- Process improvement analysis
- Site surveying
- Building audits
- Audits forms for errors and omissions; requests corrections when necessary.
- Performs data entry
Specific focus for this position will be data specialist work involving daily building automation desk operations. Work will include but is not limited to tasks such as:
- Review utility meter maps and update inventories.
- Submit and review events entered into Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Validate utility data entered to the teams energy and financial reporting platforms.
- Support review of temperature and occupancy status in rooms during summer shutdown.
- Support Demand Response activities
- School HVAC Zone map updates.
Qualifications
Below are the qualifications for this position:
- High school diploma or GED required current undergraduate at an accredited university.
- Experience in data entry and customer service preferred.
- Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures; knowledge of MS Office Software
- Ability to perform office work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy; plan organize and prioritize work effectively; communicate effectively; work cooperatively with others; and work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
- Must possess a valid state vehicle operators license
Physical Requirements
The following provides a brief description of physical requirements for this position:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger handle or feel objects or tools; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to see talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; walk; stoop kneel crouch or bend and may be required to lift approximately 25 pounds. May be exposed to extreme temperatures and other inclement weather.

Months/Days/Hours:Summer (13 weeks estimated) 5 day per week 4-8 hours per day 8AM-12PM
Salary Level:Banded Rates: Band 7
Salary Scale: Range: $21.22 hourly
