The team develops scenarios across a range of potential economic backdropswhich are distributed Firmwide.
As a Firmwide Economic Scenarios Vice President you will play an integral role in the teams scenario design work and macroeconomic forecasting. You will directly execute forecasts for macroeconomic variables consult with Subject Matter Experts presentto key stakeholders interact with seniorleadersand lead juniorteammembers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of macroeconomic forecasts thatformthebasis ofthe scenarios working closely with key forecasting partners andscenariousers.
- Monitoreconomic releases and eventsprepare commentarytrackevolving risks stay abreast of trends in economics andfinancial markets andanticipateimplications for macroeconomic forecasting and scenario design.
- Lead communicationand meetings acrossvariousfunctions locations andlines ofbusinesstofacilitatediscussionssetprioritiesand ensurealignmentamong stakeholders and senior management.
- Overseemultiple project workstreams manageinboundinquiries deliverables and ad-hoc requests with an emphasis on accuracy and timelinessinmeeting deliverableswithinprescribed timelines.
- Develop executive-level presentations for senior management and internal stakeholders.
- Collaboratewithquantitative model development teamsto guidethe development and enhancement of macroeconomic forecasting methodologies.
- Lead ad-hoc analysis and conduct economic research as needed.
Required Qualifications Skills and Capabilities:
- Strong quantitative skills:Masters degree in Economics Econometrics Quantitative Finance orarelatedfield.
- Relevant work experience in researchforecastingorbusiness analytics for a leading financial institutioncentral bankconsulting firm or similar with a strong backgroundandinterest in economics. A PhD may beconsidered aspartof thisexperience.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills and experienceinat least one programming languageorstatistical software (e.g. Python R EViews Excel VBA).
- Exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize largevolumesof data anddiverse perspectives summarize key concepts and clearly articulate relevant conclusions.
- Excellentorganizational verbalandwrittencommunicationskills.
- A proventrack recordof executing against deliverables and meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Self-starter withtheability to multitask in a fast-paced environment withfrequentlychanging priorities.
- Works well individually and in teams shares information supports colleagues and fosters participation.
Preferred Qualifications Skills and Capabilities:
- Experience with scenario design in the context of CCAR a plus.
- Prior knowledge and coverage of major non-U.S. economies would be considered a plus.
- Experience in forecasting statistical analysis or research on macroeconomic and/or financial variables would be considered a plus.
- Experiencewith structural and semi-structural macroeconomic forecasting models (e.g. DSGEFRB/USNiGEM) or other time-series econometric models is considered a plus.
- Experience working with machine learning AI or language models is considered a plus.
