About the Role
As an OOHC Case Manager you will support children and young people as well as their team of Youth Workers while they are in the care of ICCare in a residential care setting. Your experience and expertise will help children and young people in OOHC achieve their goals.
ICCare are experiencing a high level of growth and are looking for an amazing OOHC Case Manager to join our Sydney team based in Seven Hills NSW. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in the assessment and intake of children and young people.
- Work with the Department of Communities and Justice and other organisations to create a care environment that is appropriate for each child and young person.
- Conduct weekly home visits with children and young people ensuring they are experiencing a high standard of care in their environment.
- Manage incidents within the requisite timeframes escalating matters as required.
- Lead manage and support Youth Workers to ensure they are completing their duties to the highest level.
- Plan objectives with Youth Workers and discuss progress in Team Meetings and Supervision sessions.
- Participate in a rotating On Call roster.
What Youll Bring to the Role
- Tertiary Qualification (Cert 4 or above) in Community Services Social Sciences Psychology or related field.
- Relevant Out-of-Home Care industry experience.
- Minimum 1 year of Out-of-Home Care industry experience is required.
- An understanding of the Child Safe Standards and ability to apply these in your everyday work.
- Proficiency in report writing and analysis.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to work together to overcome challenges.
- An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Placement Principles is preferred but not essential.
- Previous training and understanding of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention is preferred but not essential.
- Experience with CMS system (such as MYP Shiftcare Lumary or Good Human) is advantageous.
Mandatory Requirements of the Role
- Current Paid Working With Childrens Check.
- Current NDIS Workers Check.
- Willingness to obtain a Police Check.
- Unencumbered Drivers Licence.
- Comprehensive Car Insurance (or willing to obtain).
- First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain).
