Job Summary
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule: Weekend Coverage 36 hours/week
- Friday Saturday Sunday (3 x 12-hour shifts)
- Shift times TBD
- Includes on-call callbacks weekends and holidays per unit needs
- Must be able to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to imaging procedures
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal image quality
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure radiation safety practices for patients staff and self
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in imaging and patient records
- Communicate effectively with patients physicians and the healthcare team
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging equipment and work areas
- Respond to on-call and callback needs as required
- Active Radiologic Technologist license in New York State
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA or ARC
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Dependability and professionalism
- Ability to follow imaging protocols and physician instructions
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety
- Basic computer skills for documentation and imaging systems
- Hospital or acute care imaging experience
- Weekend and on-call experience
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems
- Commitment to patient comfort dignity and safety
- Clear and compassionate communication with patients and families
- Delivery of accurate high-quality diagnostic imaging
